Mumbai (Maharashtra), December 2, 2025: WOG Technologies, a global leader in delegated water, wastewater, and renewable energy management, showcased an array of its advanced wastewater treatment and recycling solutions designed specifically for the plastic recycling sector at the 2nd edition of Plastics Recycling Show (PRS) India 2025, at the Nesco Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai.
Committed to accelerating the transition toward a more sustainable world, WOG Technologies presented innovative solutions to help the plastic recycling sector tackle critical challenges such as Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), elevated Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), microplastics, traces of oil, and suspended solids. These technologies enable the recycling of wastewater to be reintroduced in the industry, thereby reducing the need for freshwater. The solutions are well-suited for recyclers handling PET, HDPE, PP, and mixed plastic waste streams.
Additionally, the company showcased its distinguished Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems, advanced membrane technologies including UF, RO, and MBR, and the Microplastics & Oil Removal System (MORS) for washing line wastewater. These technologies are both cost-effective and energy-efficient and can be tailored to meet the unique requirements of recyclers based on wastewater characteristics.
Mr. Sunil Rajan, CEO at WOG Technologies said, “Similar to other sectors, wastewater released from the plastic recycling sector contains a wide range of contaminants, including microplastics, chemicals, dyes, and residual substances. Effective wastewater recycling requires advanced technologies that can eliminate this combination of contaminants to produce high-quality water suitable for further industrial use.”
He added, “This exhibition provided us with an opportunity to exhibit our advanced range of wastewater and ZLD technologies that can remove pollutants from wastewater and enable water reuse within a closed-loop system to reduce operating costs and water consumption. We received an overwhelming response from the visitors, and many expressed strong interest in implementing these solutions in their operations.”
The WOG team kept the visitors and experts engaged at the stall, sharing key highlights of its technologies and insights on SCADA and IoT-based monitoring for smarter plant operations. They received an overwhelming response, with strong engagement from participants on the adoption of circular water practices and advanced treatment systems.
India’s plastic recycling sector is witnessing significant growth. Owing to government initiatives and a focus on the circular economy, the recycling market is expected to reach over USD 6.9 billion by 2033, with market volume potentially increasing to 23.7 million tons by 2032. PRS India is an annual event that connects delegates with the latest information and technological developments in the fast-evolving plastics recycling industry.
