Tata Mutual Fund takes investor education to the big screen, launches SIP awareness campaign

Through warm, human storytelling, 'SIP se Units Jodo. Badhte Raho.' campaign explains the importance of continuing SIPs through changing market conditions

Mumbai, 05 November 2026: Tata Mutual Fund has launched a new investor education film under its ‘SIP se Units Jodo. Badhte Raho.‘ campaign, using warm and emotional storytelling to explain a simple but important investing behaviour: the importance of continuing SIPs and accumulating mutual fund units through volatile market conditions. Taking investor education beyond traditional channels, the campaign will be showcased across 325 screens in multiple cinemas this festive season and amplified across Tata Mutual Fund’s digital and social media platforms in regional-language versions to reach wider section of audience across India.

While conversations around SIPs often focus on getting investors to start investing, the new film focuses on an equally important behaviour: the discipline to continue investing even when markets become volatile.

The film communicates this idea through a simple human story.

A young boy regularly visits an elderly woman to take her dog for a walk. Each time, the boy receives a toy car. Over time, the collection begins to grow.

Then comes a day of heavy rain. It would have been easy for the boy to stay home. Instead, the boy turns up and continues the routine.

That simple act of consistency becomes the heart of the film. The growing collection of cars provides an easy-to-understand visual metaphor for accumulation.

The story then connects this everyday behaviour with SIP investing. Every SIP instalment purchases mutual fund units. When the NAV is lower, the same SIP amount can purchase more units. The value of an investment, however, depends on both the number of units accumulated and the applicable NAV.

Staying consistent through changing markets

Commenting on the campaign, Anand Vardarajan, CEO & MD, Tata Asset Management, said, “Markets will have their ups and downs, but investors can choose to stay consistent with their SIPs. When markets decline and NAVs are lower, the same SIP amount can help accumulate more units. Through this film, we want to reinforce a simple message: keep investing and stay focused on your long-term financial goals.”

Making investing simple, human and memorable

Ashish Pawar, Chief Marketing Officer, Tata Asset Management, said, “Investing is often explained through numbers, charts and market movements. We wanted to tell this story differently. A simple, warm story can sometimes make an investing idea far more relatable and memorable. Through the child’s growing collection, the film turns the idea of accumulation into something people can see and intuitively understand. With ‘SIP se Units Jodo. Badhte Raho.’, our endeavour is to make an important investing behaviour simple, human and easy to remember. By taking the campaign to the big screen and across social media platforms in regional languages, we aim to bring investor awareness to wider set of audience across India.”

The campaign is part of Tata Mutual Fund’s effort to make financial concepts simpler and more relatable through familiar situations. It has been conceptualised and executed by Vitamin Content Company.

Launching during Diwali, the film will come alive on 325 screens in multiple cinemas across India, taking its warm story and simple message of consistency in investing to the big screen. The film will also be amplified across Tata Mutual Fund’s digital and social platforms, with regional-language versions and short-format edits extending the story to a wider audience.
