The second NBA Rising Stars Invitational concluded today, crowning South Korea’s Kyungbock High School and Japan’s Seika Girls’ High School as the champions after a weekend of competitive youth basketball.
The tournament brought together talented teams from across the Asia-Pacific region, including The Velammal International School from India, who competed and gained valuable experience on the international stage.
In the girls’ final, Seika Girls’ High School secured a decisive 106–59 victory over Yangming High School. The boys’ final saw Kyungbock High School win a thrilling contest against Tottori Johoku High School with a final score of 82-72. The final games were watched by NBA Champion Jeremy Lin and other basketball legends.
The event also featured a halftime performance by K-pop group LNGSHOT, who performed for a sold-out crowd at the OCBC Arena.
Top individual players were also honored with the following awards:
- Sportsmanship Award: Buba Aisha Ezzine (Seika Girls’ High School), Wang Junzheng (Tsinghua University High School)
- Defensive Player of the Tournament: Buba Aisha Ezzine (Seika Girls’ High School), Philemon Homtapwa Talmon (Tottori Johoku High School)
- Girls Division Finals MVP: Buba Aisha Ezzine (Seika Girls’ High School)
- Boys Division Finals MVP: Yoon Jiwon (Kyungbock High School)
