Pia Shivdasani is the Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of NowYouKnow (NYK), India’s first social travel-recommendations platform reshaping how modern travellers discover, share and connect. With a travel footprint across 35+ countries and a lifelong curiosity for culture and community, she brings a rare blend of creative instinct, strategic clarity and global perspective to NYK’s mission.
Pia’s belief that travel is defined not just by places, but by people and their stories, sits at the core of NYK. She envisioned a platform built on trusted voices rather than anonymous algorithms—one where recommendations come from friends, curated creators and real experiences. As CMO, she is the architect of NYK’s brand voice and community narrative, ensuring every interaction feels personal, authentic and rooted in genuine discovery.
Armed with a Master’s degree in Marketing Communications with Merit from the University of Westminster, Pia has spent 15 years in global brand growth and luxury communications, shaping narratives for marquee names including LVMH, Marriott and Huda Beauty. Her career spans strategic storytelling, premium positioning and large-scale brand experiences across international markets. She also spent six years running her own creative event space in India, refining her expertise in experiential design, cultural programming and high audience engagement. This foundation—global strategy paired with on-ground execution—now informs the way she builds NYK’s identity and user experience.
At NYK, Pia leads brand vision, content strategy and growth initiatives, guiding how travellers interact with the platform—whether they’re sharing a neighbourhood café in Mumbai, mapping a trail in New Zealand, or exploring a friend’s curated wishlist. Her extensive travel experience gives her an intuitive understanding of how people seek, interpret and share recommendations, shaping how NYK becomes a natural extension of those behaviours.

Krishna Shivdasani is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NowYouKnow (NYK), India’s pioneering social-led travel recommendations platform redefining how people discover, document, and share experiences. With more than thirteen years of cross-sector expertise spanning brand management, management consulting, celebrity brand building, and consumer business strategy, Krishna leads NYK’s long-term vision, product evolution, and expansion.
Shaped by his family’s four-decade legacy in the travel industry, Krishna brings an instinctive
understanding of how people explore, what drives trust, and why personalised recommendationsmatter more than ever. At NYK, he guides the company’s product and strategic roadmap, forging collaborations across travel, lifestyle, culture, and technology to build a platform that sets a new benchmark for authenticity in discovery.
Before founding NYK in 2023, Krishna’s career spanned brand management at Kraft Heinz, where he led the business for brands with revenues exceeding USD $500M, followed by several years at McKinsey & Company in New York and Los Angeles, advising global leaders in technology, media, and consumer industries on business strategy, growth, transformation and market expansion.
He later served as Chief Strategy Officer at Amass Brands, where he oversaw M&A, incubated and launched new ventures, and launched high-impact partnerships, including De Soi, a landmark joint venture with Katy Perry. In addition to his operating roles, Krishna has advised globally recognised creative and entertainment entities, including Universal Music Group (UMG) and The Rolling Stones, on building and scaling consumer-facing ventures.
An Honours graduate of NYU’s Stern School of Business and a Founders Day Award recipient, Krishna blends analytical rigour with a creator-first, culturally attuned perspective. His leadership at NYK is defined by clarity, ambition, and an unwavering commitment to building a platform that is not just useful, but meaningful, one that reflects the real way people travel today: through personal, honest, trusted recommendations.
