Mumbai, 15th June 2026: Oxford International, as part of its global CSR programme Momentum, organised a beach clean-up drive at Juhu in collaboration with ConnectFor. Momentum represents the belief that local action drives global impact. At Oxford International, it is about harnessing the collective energy of individuals across communities and geographies to create positive social and environment impact. Through Momentum, small actions come together to create lasting change.
To mark World Environment Day, the initiative brought together members of the Oxford International team to support environmental conservation efforts, promote responsible community engagement, and encourage collective action towards cleaner public spaces through the beach clean-up drive. Demonstrating strong commitment and enthusiasm despite the summer heat, the team collected bags of waste during the clean-up activity. Among nearly 50 volunteers who participated in the drive, the Oxford International team was recognised by ConnectFor with the Best Team Performance award for their contribution and collective effort.
ConnectFor is a volunteering platform that connects individuals and organisations with non-profit initiatives across areas such as education, environment, healthcare, animal welfare, and community development.
The beach clean-up initiative reflects Oxford International’s broader commitment to making a positive contribution beyond education. Over the past two years, the organisation has actively supported a variety of community-focused regional initiatives across India, contributing to programmes that promote education, social wellbeing, inclusion, and community development. Through volunteering activities, partnerships with purpose-driven organisations, and employee engagement programmes, the organisation has been actively supporting many such local level social impact programmes.
