New Delhi | 19th June 2026 Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, who has elevated yoga as India’s global gift to the world, the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, successfully celebrated International Yoga Day 2026, bringing together the spirit of art, wellness, mindfulness and India’s rich cultural heritage.
The celebration witnessed the gracious presence of distinguished guests including Dr. Sanjeev Kishor Goutam, Director General, NGMA; Hitesh Yoga, Content Creator & Yoga Expert; Mr. Madhusudan Chauhan – CEO Jiva Ayurveda; and Dr. Blossom Kochhar, Pioneer of Aroma Therapy in India.
Hosted within one of India’s premier cultural institutions, the celebration highlighted the intrinsic relationship between yoga and art both timeless forms of expression that cultivate awareness, discipline, creativity and inner transformation. While art becomes a medium of expression and reflection, yoga creates harmony between mind, body and consciousness.
The morning featured engaging sessions around Yoga, Ayurveda, Aroma Therapy and Facial Yoga, encouraging participants to reconnect with India’s traditional wisdom and embrace holistic wellbeing.
