National, 4th July 2026: Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor are used to getting papped. But their latest spotting came with a crispy twist, a whole lot of sibling banter, and a KFC bucket that had everyone asking the same thing – was it peace, or was it piece?
It all started a couple of days back when KFC dropped a cryptic post clarifying that the peace ✌️ sign = piece. But this wasn’t enough – soon after, KFC set the internet ablaze as hundreds of KFC comments appeared on almost any and every Bollywood celebrity, influencer and user profile who had posted selfies sporting the iconic peace sign, because sorry not sorry but peace = piece. In fact, the internet abuzz, with many replies to get the tea and find out what KFC was up to, and some even went on to ask for a bucket (or two!) of their favourite crispy chicken.
But nothing had the internet ready for what happened today.
Picture this – mid shaadi prep the Kapoor sibling duo, Arjun and Anshula Kapoor are seen taking a short break when they are spotted by the papparazzi. What follows is peak pap-style chaos. The paps call out to Arjun and Anshula, ask them to stop for photos, quiz Anshula about shaadi ki taiyaari, and of course, ask the duo for ‘one pose please?’.
Arjun and Anshula smile, wave and flash the classic peace sign for the cameras. But just when the paps think they’ve captured another celeb ✌️ moment, Arjun jumps in to correct them. Pointing to the KFC bucket in hand, he says, “Arre, yeh peace nahi… piece hai!”
And just like that, the internet’s most used hand gesture just found a a finger lickin’ new meaning.
For decades, the ✌️ sign has stood for just peace. But KFC gears to celebrate Fried Chicken Day, with a whole Fried Chicken Month, KFC has set the record straight. It was never just peace. It was always piece. Two fingers. Two pieces. And with KFC’s Double Deal, it means one thing and one thing only – 1+1.
Clearly, Arjun and Anshula couldn’t get enough of KFC’s Fried Chicken Month Double Deal, which lets chicken lovers Buy 1 Get 1 Bucket Free. Fans can grab Buy 8 pcs + 2 dips and get 8 pcs + 2 dips free or Buy 4 pcs + 1 dip and get 4 pcs + 1 dip free. This offer is valid every Friday in July, starting 3rd July, for dine-in and takeaway only.
Arjun Kapoor said, “I’ve flashed the peace sign more times than I can count, but thanks to KFC, I don’t think I’ll ever look at it the same way again. The whole ‘peace’ to ‘piece’ twist is quirky, and impossible to unsee.”
So, the next time you flash a ✌️, remember – with KFC, it’s not peace. It’s piece. Because when it’s Fried Chicken Month at KFC, one bucket definitely deserves another.
