Passionate in Marketing – In Conversation With Mrs. Anuja Choudhary, Co-founder and Director, Wizspk Communication & PR

  1. Having spent over two decades in the communications industry, how has the role of public relations evolved, and what skills do communicators need to succeed today?

Public Relations has shifted from a communication support role to a core strategic function.  it means greater influence and stronger strategic Councel. PR professionals today protects reputation, shape public perception, provide strategic councel and contributes directly to organisational goals.

Communicators has to understand Multi-platform storytelling in an integrated Marketing landscape. Strategic thinking with data driven measurable impact and analytics of the campaign is a must.

  1. What are the biggest challenges brands face in building trust and credibility in an increasingly digital-first world?

Highly cluttered marketplace, there is an information overload with multiple opinions and voices across platforms.

Narrative that leaves impact and cuts through the noise, honest story telling still works.

Building trust today requires consistency, transparency and a willingness to listen. The brands that succeed are those that engage in genuine conversations rather than one-way communication.

  1. As an award-winning entrepreneur, what key leadership principles have guided your journey in building Wizspk Communication?

Build trust and consistency with a shared sense of purpose and direction with the team and your partners. Embrance innovation and commit to continuous learning. Long term planning and thinking ahead of the curve held us in good stead. I have said this before and I totally believe in this. Work hard everyday, learn everyday and hustle everyday. Believe in yourself fearlessly

  1. Your work extends beyond business into education and wellness projects. How do these initiatives influence your leadership philosophy?

Life without purpose has no meaning. Education is deeply connected to my family’s legacy.

My great grandfather believed in the transformative power of education and established the first college in his village. My father continues to dedicate his life advocating for social equality and social welfare, fought numerous cases for social justice and is deeply respected for being a strong voice against corruption and human rights. Growing up with these values naturally takes you in that direction..

These experiences constantly remind me that success is meaningful only when it creates a positive impact beyond oneself. Important to voice your opinion fearlessly and empower people who might need a little push.

  1. Can you share the vision behind The Positivity Project and why wellness and spirituality are becoming increasingly relevant in today’s fast-paced professional environment?

The Positivity Project Foundation is founded by my childhood friend, Sanghita Singh. It was born from a very personal belief that success should not come at the cost of inner well-being. It is a platform that promotes positive thinking, emotional well-being and purposeful living through conversations, events and community engagement.

In the communications industry, I have worked with ambitious professionals, entrepreneurs and leaders for many years. While many achieve remarkable success, I also noticed increasing levels of stress, anxiety and emotional fatigue.

The vision behind The Positivity Project is to create a platform that helps people reconnect with themselves through wellness, mindfulness and spirituality. It is not about escaping the pressures of modern life but learning how to navigate them with greater awareness and balance.

People are looking for a deeper meaning and fulfilment. Professional success is important, but true growth happens when we nurture our mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.

  1. What advice would you give to aspiring women entrepreneurs looking to build sustainable businesses in the communications and marketing industry?

I would encourage women entrepreneurs to believe in their vision and trust their instincts.

There will always be challenges, critisism and situations where people question your decisions. What matters is staying committed to your purpose and believing in the process.

At the same time, never stop learning. The communications industry is ever evolving, and staying relevant requires constant innovation and adaptability.

  1. Looking ahead, what trends do you believe will define the future of marketing communications, reputation management, and brand storytelling in India?

The boundaries between Marketing, PR , Consumer engagements , advertising will continue to blur. Communications will focus on building meaningful relationships in the world of constant change. AI enabled efficacy with human creativity and emotional intelligence will create long lasting influences and reputation. Role of communication will continue to evolve and will be a central driver of organizational success.

India is a diverse and rapidly evolving market, and brands that understand local cultures, listen to their audiences and communicate with authenticity will create stronger and more enduring connections. The future of communication is not just about being heard—it’s about being trusted.
