PureSil Unveils Next-Generation Zero-VOC Mineral Paint Powered by Breakthrough Silicification Technology

Developed by chemical engineer Dr. Nikhil Dhote, this petro-free coating transforms agricultural waste and coal fly ash into high-performance mineral paint, delivering 20+ years of durability and A1 fire safety.

NAGPUR, 28th July 2026: PureSil Paints today announced the national launch of PureSil Interior-Exterior Mineral Paint, introducing advanced Silicification Technology to India’s decorative paints industry. Formulated as an ultra-sustainable, Zero-VOC coating, PureSil offers a healthier, high-performance alternative to conventional petroleum-based acrylics.

Developed by materials scientist Dr. Nikhil Dhote (Ph.D., CSIR-NEERI) with over 15 years of inorganic chemistry expertise, PureSil’s proprietary formulation utilizes silicate binders derived from rice husk ash and industrial fly ash — transforming abundant agro-industrial waste into premium architectural coatings.

Unlike conventional paints that glue a temporary film to a surface, PureSil’s Silicification Technology chemically bonds with masonry. This breathable mineral matrix regulates moisture, delivers UV stability, provides A1 fire-rated protection, and naturally resists mould — maintaining pristine indoor air quality that is exceptionally safe for families and sensitive environments.

By replacing imported petroleum-derived polymers with 100% indigenous mineral chemistry, PureSil advances India’s push for self-reliant manufacturing. This strategic import substitution slashes the carbon footprint of decorative coatings by over 46%. Engineered for Indian climates, the paint’s 20-year lifespan is ideal for projects targeting IGBC and LEED certifications.

Commenting on the launch, Dr. Nikhil Dhote, Founder & Chief Technologist, said:

“For decades, the industry has relied on imported petrochemical films that degrade indoor air quality. Silicification Technology changes this by allowing our coating to chemically fuse with masonry. We are pioneering a circular economy that turns domestic waste into the future of self-reliant, sustainable construction in India.”

PureSil Interior-Exterior Mineral Paint is available via authorized networks in Nagpur, Vadodara, Raipur, and Kolkata at an introductory price of ₹320 per litre. Metropolitan expansion is planned over the coming months.
