Mumbai, 3rd August 2026: Little Dreamers Publishing LLP has released the first dedicated series of illustrated board books in India for children aged 0 to 5 years with its latest publication, Little Athletes, presenting them to the world of cricket, football and badminton. Simple language and colorful illustrations are used throughout the series to make sport accessible, relatable and age-appropriate.
The first Little Athletes collection consists of three illustrated board books, one for each sport, which take children through the world of sport in an appropriate age way through story and colourful illustrations.
- Little Cricketer introduces young readers to the excitement of cricket through the eyes of a child discovering the game for the first time.
- Little Footballer celebrates teamwork and inclusion while introducing children to the joy of football.
- Little Shuttler explores the speed and excitement of badminton, encouraging young readers to discover one of India’s most loved sports.
The series is centered on the concept of ‘sport before school’ and celebrates the importance of play and movement in the lives of children. It is developed for shared reading, which invites children and families to read stories together, and makes sport an integral part of daily conversations and play. The series is also an innovative way for children to learn the thrill of sport in books, and for parents, educators and gift-givers to use books to engage young children in the sport.

Little Athletes is the first in Little Dreamers’ planned series of Sports themed board books for young readers.
