Hyderabad, August 4, 2026: In a significant step towards accelerating Telangana’s clean energy transition, the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) facilitated a high-level virtual interaction between Sri Jitesh V. Patil, IAS, Chairman & Managing Director, TGSPDCL, senior utility officials, district-level Superintending Engineers, and representatives of the state’s solar industry.
The meeting brought together 95 stakeholders, including representatives from the Telangana Solar Open Access Developers Association, Telangana Solar Energy Association (TSEA), solar EPC companies, PM-KUSUM farmers, and FTCCI members to discuss bottlenecks affecting rooftop solar, open-access projects, agricultural solarisation, and grid connectivity.
The interaction resulted in several immediate decisions aimed at improving project execution and reducing delays.
Responding to concerns raised by developers and farmers, Sri Jitesh V. Patil, IAS, directed district-level officials to resolve several operational issues immediately. Instructions were issued during the meeting itself, with implementation to commence the same day, demonstrating TGSPDCL’s commitment to faster decision-making and industry facilitation.
For issues requiring regulatory or policy intervention, the CMD advised FTCCI to submit a consolidated representation to the Chief Engineer (IPC), enabling focused examination and structured resolution.
Addressing the participants, the CMD observed that direct engagement with developers and farmers helps utilities understand ground realities, improve approval mechanisms, streamline grid integration, and enhance service delivery.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of continuous dialogue between the power utility and the renewable energy ecosystem to support Telangana’s growing clean energy ambitions.
Speaking after the meeting, FTCCI appreciated the proactive response of TGSPDCL and thanked Sri Jitesh V. Patil, IAS, senior officials, and district-level engineers for their openness, responsiveness, and commitment to resolving issues faced by the solar sector.
The Chamber noted that such collaborative consultations strengthen investor confidence, facilitate faster deployment of renewable energy projects, and contribute to Telangana’s sustainable energy goals.
