Hyderabad: September 5, 2026: Emergency medical response in Hyderabad and Telangana is set to receive a boost with the deployment of two advanced life-support smart ambulances through a partnership between Apollo Hospitals, Billion Hearts Beating Foundation (BHB) and Marsh India.
The ambulances were formally launched at Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, on Friday. The initiative is supported under Marsh India’s CSR programme, with BHB as the implementing partner and Apollo Hospitals providing clinical and emergency-care expertise.
The two ambulances have already been deployed at special medical camps across Hyderabad and Telangana, taking critical emergency services closer to communities.
Tejesvi Rao Veerepalli, CEO, Apollo Hospitals Telugu States, said the initiative would strengthen the emergency-care chain both inside and outside hospitals. Dr K. Subba Reddy, Head of Critical Care, said the advanced ambulances would help medical teams reach patients during the crucial first minutes of an emergency.
Sudha Jhijaria, Head, CSR Operations, BHB, said the project aimed to bridge the gap between an emergency and timely medical care. Sanjay Kedia, President and CEO, Marsh India, said the initiative would improve access to faster and more effective emergency support.
Dr P. Shree Sowjanya, Head, Emergency, Apollo Hospitals Jubilee Hills, and Dr K. Sai Kumar Reddy, Head of Medical Services, said timely pre-hospital intervention could play a critical role in saving lives.
Mr J. Ram Chandra, Dr Ravi Kiran and members of the Emergency Medicine team were also present.
