Chennai, India, 9 September 2026 — Vembu Technologies, the company behind BDRShield and XDRShield, announced the appointment of Sivakumar Thiyagarajan as Senior Vice President, Engineering & Technology. Based in Chennai, Sivakumar will lead engineering and technology strategy across Vembu’s product portfolio as the company scales its footprint in India and global markets.
Sivakumar’s mandate is to raise engineering processes and delivery discipline, strengthen product quality and reliability, and accelerate practical AI-driven innovation, while helping engineering teams build products that compete at a global standard.
Sivakumar brings more than two decades of experience across enterprise software, real-time communications, telecom, embedded systems and computational engineering applications. He spent nearly a decade at Motorola Mobility in San Diego, USA, working with international engineering and product teams on more than 20 commercial devices, including the Motorola Droid, Droid X, Atrix and CLIQ. Prior to that, he also worked with Ericsson in San Diego on base-station network management. Earlier, he contributed to computational geometry and CAD/CAM systems at SDRC and IIT Madras, where his work on solid modelling and mesh generation was deployed at Sundaram Fasteners, Hosur.
As an entrepreneur, Sivakumar founded Cuedio Technologies, where he built a WebRTC-based Remote Assist Services Platform from concept to deployment in nine months. That work later extended into real-time streaming for browser-based CAD collaboration and a functional prototype FPM-based computational microscope for telepathology on the Raspberry Pi platform. Sivakumar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, both from IIT Madras.
