Ace Indian DJ, Akshay Johar joins Unlu as Director of Music Programme

Gurugram, May 2022: Unlu- a one-of-a-kind platform to help creators and artists collaborate, create, and launch, Ips has recently announced the appointment of Akshay Johar – a renowned name in the Indian DJ and music industry as Director of Music Programme. His appointment will be effective from May 2022 with greater emphasis on devising and launching new music-based fellowships, promoting exceptional talent from the fellowships, and providing them with a platform to monetize their content. 

Akshay Johar  – professionally known as MojoJojo, has worked for more than a decade in the industry as a professional Musician, Producer, and DJ. Since 2014, he has released over 30 tracks that have cumulatively garnered over 50 million plays in over 180 countries. 

Commenting on the appointment, Vipul Agrawal of Unlu said, “Akshay is an award-winning artist with a strong background in the music industry. More than just being an artist himself, he has made a significant contribution in the industry to provide opportunities for new talent, the vision which is completely aligned with Unlu. In a short span, Akshay has been awarded the ‘Best Electronic Single’ in 2018 at Radio City Music Awards and nominated for the ‘Best Independent Record’ in 2019 at the GIMA awards. He has also performed over 400 live shows across countries including India, Singapore, Thailand, Netherlands, and UK among others, and prominent festivals like Sunburn, Vh1 Supersonic, Nh7 Weekender, EDC and others. Before Unlu, Akshay also co-founded a label called Hattke Records which in a short period of time launched some iconic artists and tracks which have got more than a million subscribers & 100Mn+ Views in a short span of time.
