01-June-2026, National: Air India Express has commenced direct flights between Bengaluru and Phuket. The inaugural flight departed from Bengaluru today, marking the launch of the new service and providing travellers with convenient access to Phuket, renowned for its pristine beaches, vibrant nightlife, bustling markets, and rich cultural heritage.

This launch further expands Air India Express’ footprint in Thailand, complementing the Bengaluru–Bangkok service introduced in October last year.
Air India Express operates close to 500 weekly flights from Bengaluru, offering direct connectivity to 31 domestic and 8 international destinations. This expansion is part of Air India Express’ continued focus on strengthening international connectivity from key Indian metros to high-demand leisure destinations across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
