National, 22 August 2025: Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, announced the addition of Kozhikode (Calicut) as the 30th overall and 24th domestic destination to its network. Starting 1st October 2025, Akasa Air will operate daily direct flights between Mumbai and Kozhikode, creating a vital new corridor between India’s financial capital and the Malabar coast. The new route builds on the airline’s existing services to Kochi strengthening its footprint in Kerala. The expansion will cater to the strong travel demand that flows between coastal Southern India and the nation’s principal metropolitan centres further stimulating tourism and commerce.
