Mumbai, December 22, 2025: Marking a key milestone at today’s Mumbai edition of Pinkathon, Aspect Sports, the sports and performance vertical of Aspect Global Ventures, one of India’s fastest-growing conglomerates, announced a strategic partnership with Pinkathon as its Official Sports Partner. Led by Aksha Kamboj, Executive Chairperson of Aspect Global Ventures, the collaboration aims to create structured, long-term pathways for women runners across India by combining the country’s largest women’s running platform with a focused approach to coaching, performance development, and grassroots sport.
A cornerstone of the partnership is the commitment by Aspect Foundation to support 100 young girls in Mumbai and Delhi through structured, year-round running programmes. These programmes will include regular coaching, fitness assessments, and exposure to competitive and community-based events, creating early and sustainable entry points into organised sport while strengthening India’s grassroots running pipeline.
Aksha Kamboj, Executive Chairperson, Aspect Global Ventures, and Co-owner, Tiigers of Kolkata said, “For sports to truly contribute to long-term growth, girls must be included across every layer of the ecosystem, from access and training to competition and continuity. Through our continued support of grassroots sports leagues, we have seen how early structure can meaningfully change outcomes. Pinkathon has created unmatched scale and visibility for women’s running in India, and this partnership is a timely step towards ensuring inclusion and enabling participation to evolve into sustained, long-term sporting journeys.”
For participants, the partnership adds depth and continuity beyond race day. Aspect Sports will integrate expert-led coaching modules, technology-assisted training tools, and curated fitness sessions into upcoming city editions, beginning with Mumbai. The approach is designed to provide women runners with clearer progression frameworks, encouraging consistency, skill development, and long-term engagement with the sport.
Milind Soman, Founder of Pinkathon, said the partnership reflects the growing maturity of women’s running in India. “Aspect Sports brings a training and development lens that complements what Pinkathon has built over the years. By strengthening what happens beyond race day, we can help more women stay engaged with running in a way that supports confidence, performance, and long-term wellbeing,” he said.
Moving beyond training and performance, the partnership also emphasised the importance of nutrition and recovery as essential components of a runner’s journey. As part of the collaboration, Aspect Hospitality, the hospitality arm of Aspect Global Ventures, curated a special Pinkathon Menu designed for women runners, which was unveiled at Brunch & Cake ahead of race day. The initiative reinforced a holistic approach to running, bringing together fitness, nourishment, and long-term wellbeing as integral elements of the overall experience.
Aspect Global Ventures operates across sports, wellness, and community development, with a focus on accessibility and performance. Its sports vertical, Aspect Sports, works at the intersection of grassroots sport and innovation, addressing gaps in structured coaching, mentorship, and training systems. Anchored in the theme of “HER,” the initiative aims to encourage more women to take up running as a consistent sporting discipline.
As women’s running continues to expand across age groups and cities, the Aspect Sports–Pinkathon partnership positions itself as a step towards building a more structured and sustainable running ecosystem in India. Founded in Mumbai in 2012, Pinkathon has grown into a nationwide women’s running platform, engaging over half a million participants across multiple cities.
