Mumbai, July 17, 2026: Areion Group today announced the appointment of veteran banker Shri Suresh Khatanhar as its Group Chief Executive Officer, reinforcing the Group’s commitment to strengthen its leadership team as it enters its next phase of growth. With more than four decades of experience in the Indian banking and financial services sector, Shri Khatanhar will lead the Group’s strategic direction, business growth initiatives and operational excellence across group businesses.
Prior to joining Areion Group, Shri Khatanhar served as Deputy Managing Director of IDBI Bank, where he oversaw key functions including Retail Banking, Treasury, Centralised Operations, Risk Management, Government Business, Audit, Legal and Governance. Throughout his distinguished career, he has successfully led large-scale business transformation, strengthened governance frameworks and driven sustainable growth.
