New Delhi, June 22, 2026: Awsum has launched a special Father’s Day campaign titled ‘Baap of All Cakes’, celebrating the humour, nostalgia, and everyday quirks that define Indian fatherhood.
At the heart of the campaign is a limited-edition Father’s Day chocolate cake housed in a retro-inspired collector’s box that pays tribute to what Awsum calls the country’s most relatable character — the Indian dad.
Designed using a 90s pulp-comic aesthetic, the packaging features bold colours, vintage-style illustrations, and references drawn from a generation that grew up with Doordarshan, neighbourhood chai discussions, forwarded messages, unsolicited life advice, and countless moments of understated affection.
The campaign builds on a simple insight: while fathers may not always be the most expressive members of the family, their habits, routines, and one-liners have become some of the most memorable parts of growing up in an Indian household.
The back of the limited-edition box features an illustrated comic strip titled ‘A Day in the Life of an Aadarsh Baap’, showcasing a series of universally relatable moments from a father’s day — from early morning advice sessions and forwarded good-morning messages to evening chai discussions and late-night refrigerator checks.
As part of the campaign, Awsum also partnered with Blinkit for a social activation titled ‘Find the New Baap on the Block’, inviting consumers to nominate their own fathers or father figures who embody the spirit of the iconic Indian dad. The campaign encouraged users to share stories, memories, and anecdotes, turning a product launch into a larger celebration of fatherhood through collective nostalgia and participation.
Commenting on the campaign, Pranav Sharma, Founder of Awsum, said, “Father’s Day campaigns often focus on grand gestures, but most people remember their dads through small, everyday moments. With ‘Baap of All Cakes’, we wanted to celebrate the habits, humour, and little quirks that make fathers instantly recognisable across Indian households. The campaign is rooted in nostalgia, relatability, and the shared experiences many of us grew up with.”
Unlike traditional Father’s Day campaigns centred around gifting alone, Awsum’s initiative seeks to spark recognition and conversation by highlighting the familiar behaviours that have become synonymous with Indian fatherhood.
The limited-edition ‘Baap of All Cakes’ chocolate cake is available on Blinkit for a limited period as part of the Father’s Day celebration.
