Ayu Health Hospitals, a growing network of 40+ hospitals in India, announces its first acquisition in Jaipur, adding a network of 16+ hospitals to its portfolio. With its unique and trust-building feature of pricing transparency, the company has purchased Jaipur-based SwasthyaSewak to deliver multi-disciplinary healthcare services to citizens.

Ayu Health now operates over 2500 beds spread over 50 hospitals in Bengaluru and Chandigarh. The company, started in 2019, by Karan Gupta, Arjit Gupta, and Himesh Joshi, is rapidly expanding its network to bring quality healthcare to the masses by standardizing healthcare services supplied by neighborhood hospitals. Ayu Health is expanding into underdeveloped communities, fueled by the increased need for quality health care services nearby.

Yashu Kapoor founded SwasthyaSewak in 2017 and now operates a network of 16+ hospitals in Jaipur. Since its founding, the startup has serviced over 1 lakh patients. Their strong service ethics and patient-centric approach have earned them the trust of residents in Jaipur and the Delhi NCR.

Ayu Health will add 1000 beds as a result of this acquisition to provide localized primary and tertiary medical treatment to Jaipur residents. Aside from that, Yashu Kapoor, the founder of SwasthyaSewak, has joined Ayu Health as Head of Growth and will be based in Delhi NCR.

Karan Gupta, Co-Founder and COO of Ayu Health, expressed excitement about expanding their reach and accelerating their growth path in the city of Jaipur. Ayu Health intends to grow its presence in over ten regions of the country by the end of 2023, making it the country’s largest hospital network. The acquisition of SwasthyaSewak is the first step in this direction.

Patients at Ayu Health are offered a single pricing package for the majority of treatments and procedures. The costs of surgery, implant costs, stent prices, and even hospital admission charges are revealed with complete openness and discussed to patients upfront by medical counselors and doctors.

Yashu Kapoor, Head of Growth at Ayu Health Hospitals, stated that he has been working in healthcare for over 8 years and believes that the Ayu Health model brings significant value to all stakeholders in the ecosystem, particularly patients. He is convinced that future hospital chains will be established by collaborating with and enabling some of the top medical entrepreneurs through technology. He is also excited to help Ayu Hospitals continue its upward trajectory.

Ayu Health received $6.3 million in Series-A funding from Vertex Ventures and Stellaris Venture Partners in September 2021. With the addition of 5,000 or more beds in several locations across India, the organization expects to more than double its business in FY2022.
