BIBA Introduces ‘BIBA For Teachers – A Class Apart’, An Initiative Built Around Women Educators

A Teacher Privilege Pass, a dedicated Teacher's Wardrobe edit, in-store Teachers' Evenings across cities to appreciate the educators who shaped you

National, 5th September 2026: BIBA, India’s leading homegrown fashion brand, has announced BIBA For Teachers, a first-of-its-kind annual property dedicated to India’s educators. BIBA For Teachers is built as a lasting platform that celebrates, dresses and stays connected with the women who teach in schools, colleges, coaching centres, dance and music studios, and every kind of learning space.

The idea rests on a simple truth: teachers already need exactly what BIBA stands for; comfort, fabric, everyday polish and occasion-ready Indianwear. From the classroom to the parent meeting to the assembly-day function, a teacher’s week asks a great deal of her wardrobe. BIBA For Teachers is designed to answer that, all year round.

At the heart of the launch is the Teacher Privilege Pass – a flat 15% off on fresh collections for any teacher who presents a valid teaching ID at BIBA stores across India from 1 to 6 September 2026, along with other exciting elements. Recognising that teaching today extends well beyond schools, the Pass is open to educators across schools, colleges, coaching centres and arts institutes.

Alongside it sits The Teacher’s Wardrobe, an edit built around a teacher’s week rather than by category. Breathable cotton kurtas, soft chanderi suit sets and easy A-line silhouettes carry the classroom day, while sharper three-piece sets, kalidaars and understated festive pieces in muted prints and light embroidery hold up through PTMs, assemblies and institute functions. Fabric, fall and comfort run through all of it, so a look stays put from the first period to the last.

Teachers have quietly been one of our most loyal communities for years and that’s no accident. BIBA is the perfect fit for what a teacher’s day asks of her wardrobe: comfort that lasts from the first class to the last, and an elegant, sophisticated finish the moment she steps into a function or in front of a room,” said Ekta Dutta, Head of Marketing, BIBA. “We’d simply never named that relationship. BIBA For Teachers changes that. The Teacher Privilege Pass gives them a real benefit this week  but the offer is only the beginning. We’re building something lasting around them; a wardrobe organised by the real moments of their week, a reason to stay connected through the year, and a celebration that becomes ours to own, every September.”

BIBA For Teachers also runs at store level. Each BIBA store will connect with the schools, colleges, coaching centres and arts institutes in its neighbourhood, and select stores will host Teachers’ Evenings with styling sessions and a shopping privilege. Every educator who comes in becomes part of the BIBA Teacher Circle, a community BIBA plans to build through city chapters, institute partnerships and an annual wardrobe report in the years ahead.
