Mumbai, India, 10th June 2026: Billboard India, launched in partnership with Other Side Ventures Pvt. Ltd., today announced the appointment of Preeti Nayyar as Chief Operating Officer (COO). A seasoned media and entertainment leader with over 25 years of experience across print, radio, television, movie marketing, and the music industry, Nayyar will spearhead the brand’s operational growth and business expansion in India.
In her role as COO, Nayyar will oversee Billboard India’s business operations, P&L management, revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and industry relations. She will play a critical role in establishing Billboard India as the definitive platform connecting artists, fans, industry stakeholders, and brands while driving the next phase of growth for the iconic global music brand in one of the world’s most dynamic music markets.
Nayyar brings with her a wealth of experience from leadership roles across some of the world’s most influential media and entertainment companies, including Universal Music Group, Disney, Radio Mirchi, and the India Today Group. Most recently, she spent nearly nine years building and scaling UMG For Brands, Universal Music Group’s culture and music marketing division, from the ground up across India and Asia, creating impactful partnerships between artists, music, culture, and brands.
Her appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Billboard India, which recently launched to document, celebrate, and amplify the extraordinary diversity of Indian music across languages, genres, and geographies. Through its editorial coverage, charts, lists, awards, live experiences, and industry initiatives, Billboard India aims to provide a global platform for Indian artists while strengthening the country’s music ecosystem.
