Bounce Joins ONDC’s Open Delivery Protocol to Accelerate Last-Mile Logistics

New Delhi, 14 September, 2026: Bounce, one of India’s leading electric mobility companies, has partnered with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to strengthen India’s open logistics infrastructure through sustainable, EV-led last-mile delivery. The announcement comes as ONDC’s logistics network continues to scale, with 50+ logistics service providers, 60,000+ merchants, 150,000+ delivery partners and over 12,000 daily deliveries enabled through interoperable digital infrastructure.

The collaboration brings together Bounce’s integrated electric mobility and fleet operations capabilities with ONDC’s Open Delivery Protocol (ODP) to build a more efficient, interoperable and inclusive logistics ecosystem that enables merchants, brands and logistics providers of every size to participate seamlessly in digital commerce.

India’s logistics market is one of the largest in the world, yet remains highly fragmented. Merchants and brands often struggle to access reliable third-party delivery at scale, while smaller fleet operators face barriers to technology and consistent demand.

ONDC is building digital infrastructure for delivery rather than another logistics platform. Through the Open Delivery Protocol, merchants can access multiple logistics providers through a single integration while logistics companies—large national players, regional operators and small fleet owners—can compete on equal terms. The model reduces integration complexity, improves fleet utilisation and expands market access without creating platform dependency. Product innovations such as intelligent rider allocation and FIFO (First-In-First-Out) order matching are further improving delivery efficiency while helping riders complete more deliveries and increase their earnings.

Bounce joins this growing ecosystem with its vertically integrated model spanning electric vehicle manufacturing, fleet operations and gig-worker enablement. Through Bounce Task, its ONDC-enabled logistics offering, the company is leveraging its integrated EV stack to deliver reliable, sustainable and scalable last-mile fulfilment while expanding earning opportunities for delivery partners. Unlike conventional logistics providers, Bounce combines in-house electric vehicle manufacturing with fleet operations, allowing it to optimise vehicle performance, utilisation and operating costs across the delivery lifecycle.

Rohit Lohia, Chief Operating Officer, ONDC, said, “Neither merchants nor logistics providers should have to go through cumbersome one-on-one integrations. ONDC’s Open Delivery Protocol allows businesses to integrate once and access a growing network of logistics providers through common digital infrastructure. Similarly logistics players get access to demand with a single simple integration. Today, more than 60,000 merchants and over 150,000 delivery partners are already leveraging this ecosystem. Partnerships like Bounce further strengthen the network by bringing more logistics capacity, better fleet utilisation and greater choice for businesses across India.”

Vivekananda Hallekere, CEO and Co-founder, Bounce, said, “We’ve built deep muscle in running complex fleet operations at scale, and now that we manufacture in-house, those two capabilities compound. Everything we do comes down to two things for the rider: put them on a great scooter, and help them earn the best. ONDC gives that capability open rails to run on. Instead of locking our riders inside a walled garden, we plug an entire manufacturer-to-gig-worker operation into an open network, and the fulfilment speed we’re seeing is what happens when fleet expertise meets in-house manufacturing on open commerce.”

Bounce now supports over 12,000 riders on its platform across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, the National Capital Region, and Mumbai, and expects that base to grow many times over this year. The company reached group-level profitability in March 2026, and its Bhiwadi facility has an annual capacity of 200,000 units, infrastructure built to keep pace as rider demand multiplies while keeping fulfillment fast on ONDC.
