June 06, 2026: Business Today is all set to host the second edition of BT India’s Most Sustainable Companies – Summit & Awards 2026 on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in New Delhi. The summit is presented by the Maharashtra Tourism, which is actively championing sustainable and responsible tourism initiatives across the state. The event underscores the growing importance of sustainability in India’s development journey; bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, investors and sustainability champions to discuss the drivers of the country’s green growth agenda and the future of responsible growth. Key discussions will focus on transition finance, decarbonization pathways for hard-to-abate sectors, resilient infrastructure, clean energy adoption, nature-positive development, ESG excellence and climate adaptation.
Being held around the World Environment Day, the summit aims to build on the momentum of global conversations around climate action and sustainable development, while highlighting India’s growing leadership in driving a greener and more resilient future.
Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of net-zero emissions by 2070, Mission LiFE green industrialization and the broader Atmanirbhar Bharat agenda, this year’s summit is all set to explore how India can advance economic progress while strengthening environmental stewardship and social responsibility. As part of the initiative, the BT India’s Most Sustainable Companies Awards 2026 will recognize organizations that have demonstrated outstanding commitment to ESG principles, responsible governance and environmental and social impact across sectors, with CareEdge Group as the official Knowledge Partner.
The awards were adjudicated by an eminent jury comprising some of India’s foremost voices in sustainability, governance, finance and public policy. The jury was led by Ramesh Chand, Former Member, NITI Aayog and included distinguished experts such as Kamran M Khan (Deutsche Bank Group), Dr. Vibha Dhawan (TERI), Revati Kasture (CareEdge Group), Shriram Subramanian (InGovern), Professor Pramod Kumar (IRMA) and Professor Anish Sugathan (IIM-A). Their collective expertise across sustainable finance, ESG, corporate governance, academia and public policy ensured a rigorous and transparent evaluation of organizations demonstrating exceptional commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
After the success of its inaugural edition in 2025, BT India’s Most Sustainable Companies – Summit & Awards returns with an expanded agenda focused on accelerating India’s transition towards a resilient, low-carbon and inclusive economy and highlight how sustainability is evolving from a corporate responsibility agenda into a powerful national mission.
