Crayons Advertising Limited, India’s leading homegrown integrated advertising agency, has announced its plans to double its revenues in the next three years, mainly riding on digital and events verticals. The NSE Emerge has received the company’s Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) for an initial public offering (IPO). If Crayons is listed, it will be India’s first major domestic advertising agency to go public.

Investing in Capabilities

“In recent years, we have continually invested in our strengths, which include people, processes, partners, and performance,” stated Kunal Lalani, Founder and Managing Director of Crayons Advertising.

“We are now aiming for an orbital shift with our integrated strategy, the advertising sector’s strong economic tailwinds, and consistent mandate flow in our digital and events verticals. We are gathering funding to expand our digital skills, which will allow us to not only serve companies in Bharat but also provide our new-age tech-led solutions to the rest of the globe in the future,” Kunal added.

Strong Macros Aiding Industry Optimism

In 2020, the Indian advertising market was estimated to be worth around INR 670 billion. The market is estimated to develop at an 11% CAGR between 2022 and 2027, reaching INR 1253.2 billion by 2026. Infrastructure, banking and financial services (including fintech), tourism, government departments and the MSME, and significant domestic companies are projected to capture a higher percentage of advertising spending. Going forward, the desire for integrated players with a thorough grasp of Bharat will drive agency selection.

Investing in Quality People

Crayons continued to strengthen its leadership team with appointments of marquee professionals.

“The fundamental distinction in the business of creativity and innovation is the quality of people. Crayons have always believed in building teams by investing in real leaders, which has helped us establish ourselves as trusted creative partner to global organisations. “We are currently increasing our leadership team via timely investments in our competencies, underpinned by great brand equity,” Kunal said.
