byteXL Launches ‘AiGentCraft’ Summer Program to Help School Students Build Real-World AI Agents

An online, hands-on AI program for Grades 8–12, designed by IIT, IIM, and Ivy League alumni, enabling students to move from using AI to building intelligent AI-powered applications.

Mumbai, 28 April 2026: byteXL, a leading edtech platform focused on future-ready skills, has announced the launch of AiGentCraft, a summer program designed to introduce high school students (Grades 8 – 12) to the world of AI-powered application development.

Structured as a 15-hour live online program delivered across 10 instructor-led sessions, AiGentCraft focuses on helping learners build and deploy intelligent AI agents – equipping them with practical, real-world skills beyond traditional coding camps.

Unlike conventional programs that either emphasize basic programming or no-code AI tools, AiGentCraft integrates both approaches. Students begin with foundational Python concepts and progress to building fully functional AI applications using Streamlit, a framework that enables rapid web app development without requiring prior knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.

“At byteXL, our goal is to nurture builders who can actively shape the future of technology,” said Karun Tadepalli, CEO & Co-founder, byteXL. “AiGentCraft introduces students to how AI systems are actually designed and developed, moving beyond surface-level interaction with tools. The program combines strong fundamentals in Python with hands-on experience in building real-world AI applications, giving learners both technical depth and practical exposure. We believe this kind of early, applied learning is essential for students to develop confidence, curiosity, and the ability to think independently in an AI-driven world.”

The program has been designed by alumni of IITs, IIMs, and Ivy League institutions, and will be delivered by experienced software engineers from leading global technology companies. Through the course, students will build a portfolio of real-world AI agents, including applications such as AI tutors, college recommendation tools, travel planners, conversational bots, and data-driven dashboards. The curriculum is aligned with industry-relevant agentic AI technologies and workflows validated within leading tech ecosystems.

Each cohort will consist of 45–60 students, with multiple batches conducted sequentially based on enrolment demand. The program follows an open enrolment model, making it accessible to learners across geographies.

A key highlight of AiGentCraft is its AI Agent Demo Day, where students will present their projects to industry professionals, including experienced product managers and CEOs of leading Indian startups. Select participants will also receive letters of recommendation to support their university applications, along with a recognized certificate upon completion.

In addition to technical skills, the program emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial mindset – capabilities increasingly valued in higher education and future careers.

byteXL brings prior experience in delivering similar high-impact programs for engineering students across its partner institutions and is now extending this expertise to a younger audience through AiGentCraft.

The program is scheduled to commence from May 4, 2026, with multiple cohorts planned through the summer.
