Ltd., also known as “Canadian Wood,” is a wholly owned subsidiary of Forestry Innovation Investments (FII), a crown corporation of British Columbia, Canada’s westernmost province, with the responsibility of promoting the country’s forest products in foreign markets. Canadian Wood is continuously working to increase market awareness and inform the Indian wood industry about the five unique species of wood from British Columbia. Canadian Wood is hosting a Webinar on architects’ day, 3rd October, from 3:00 PM onwards on ‘the role of wood as a material in architecture’
The session will begin with a welcome note by Mr. Pranesh Chhibber, Country Director, Canadian Wood, followed by presentations from distinguished speakers. The Webinar is divided into three segments orchestrated by prominent figures in the industry starting with Ar. Pravir Sethi, Principal Architect, Studio HINGE followed by Ar. Sanjiv De, Director – Designs & Projects, RSP Design Consultants and Ar. Sanjay Goel, Principal Architect, Designex Architects and also Chairman, Indian Institute of Architects, Punjab Chapter. The webinar will also include a Q/A Session with the speakers. Dr. Jimmy Thomas, Assistant Director, Technical Services from Canadian Wood will moderate the webinar.
The purpose of this webinar is to inform the audience of the significance of their sector and to establish a platform for industry professionals to network and exchange expertise. This World Architecture Day session demonstrates the role of wood as a material in architecture and their experience in using wood in their designs. Additionally, the day promotes worldwide architectural education.
