Ahmedabad, 24th March 2026: After the resounding success of its ‘Deep Dive’ initiative in 2025, Canon India, one of the leading digital imaging companies, has launched, ‘Deep Dive 2.0’, the second edition of its hands on learning initiative. Kicking off with Ahmedabad, the program enables participants to deeply engage with Canon’s advanced imaging technology while gaining practical exposure to real-world production and post-production workflows under the guidance of experienced industry professionals.
As India’s visual storytelling ecosystem continues to grow at an unprecedented pace, the sector presents immense opportunities for emerging filmmakers, photographers, and videographers. However, this rapid growth has also highlighted a critical gap, i.e, limited access to advanced imaging technology, structured skill development, and real-world industry exposure, especially beyond metro markets. Deep Dive 2.0 has been conceptualised to address this gap by democratising access to hands-on learning, professional workflows, and industry expertise, enabling creators to build sustainable, professional careers in India’s rapidly evolving creator economy.
The program brings together renowned experts from the wedding, cinema, and fashion filmmaking industries to lead live demonstrations on colour grading, LUTs, and post-production techniques. Participants will gain practical insights into building profitable creative businesses while experiencing real-world workflows using Canon’s cutting-edge technology, supported by Canon India’s North Star Alliance partners, including Nanlite, HOLLYLAND, and BenQ.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Vishesh Magoo, Assistant Director, Imaging Communication Business Centre, Canon India, said, “Following the strong success of Deep Dive in 2025, we are excited to launch the evolved Deep Dive 2.0. At Canon, we believe today’s creators require more than just advanced technology, they need skills, knowledge, mentorship, and access to real-world opportunities to succeed. Aligned with Canon’s commitment to foster growth of the photography and videography segment, this initiative provides creators with hands-on immersive learning and practical insights to strengthen their market positioning. The response so far has been extremely encouraging, and we look forward to expanding this program to reach more creators across India.”
The Ahmedabad workshop featured Canon EOS Maestro Photriya Venky, a celebrated wedding photographer, filmmaker, educator, and two-time TEDx speaker with over 25 years of experience. Having captured more than 4,400 weddings and 1,200+ celebrity shoots across film, fashion, and industrial segments, Venky shared deep insights into crafting compelling wedding narratives and demonstrated practical techniques for professional filmmaking. Participants also experienced real-world workflows, gaining hands-on exposure to Canon’s imaging technology and learning how to translate their skills into profitable creative ventures.
With a rapidly expanding creator ecosystem in India, Deep Dive 2.0 is designed to bridge the gap between creative ambition and technical expertise. The initiative goes beyond traditional learning formats by offering immersive, real-time engagement with tools, technology, and industry best practices, ensuring participants are equipped with the skills required to deliver professional, high-quality output.
In 2025, the initiative witnessed an overwhelming response across five major cities, attracting over 3000+ applications and engaging 400 participants through a highly curated, merit-based selection process. Riding on this success, Canon is now set to scale the program with a 2X expansion, taking Deep Dive to more cities, including key Tier 2 markets. This expansion reflects Canon’s vision to democratize access to hands-on learning and empower the next generation of visual storytellers across India, bringing world-class expertise and technology closer to emerging creator communities.
With a legacy of pioneering cutting-edge imaging solutions, Canon India continues to foster innovation and excellence within the creator ecosystem. Initiatives like Deep Dive 2.0 reaffirm Canon’s role as a key enabler of creative expression through customer-focused experiential engagements.
