CDSL IPF releases ‘Bano Ms. Atmanirbhar Investor’ anthem sung by Sai Godbole to encourage women to begin their investment journey

Mumbai, June 23rd, 2026: Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) Investor Protection Fund (IPF) has released a new investor awareness anthem titled ‘Bano Ms. Atmanirbhar Investor’, sung by popular singer, actor and content creator Sai Godbole, as part of its ongoing ‘AtmanirbHER’ initiative. The anthem seeks to encourage women to take the first step towards participating in the securities market and become confident, informed and self-reliant investors.

The anthem is brought to life through a visually engaging film that captures key milestones in a woman’s life – from starting her first job to taking on new responsibilities and pursuing her aspirations, illustrating how every significant achievement begins with overcoming hesitation and taking the first step. Drawing a parallel with the investment journey, the film encourages women to approach investing with the same confidence, supported by research, planning and informed decision-making. Through its message of becoming a wealth creator, future maker and go-getter, the anthem inspires women to take charge of their financial future and begin their journey towards becoming an Atmanirbhar Investor.

Women today account for nearly one in four investors in India, reflecting their growing participation in the country’s investment landscape. As women’s participation in the workforce and their role in society continue to evolve, more women are taking greater control of their financial decisions, contributing to a shift in India’s investor demographic. Through Sai Godbole’s distinctive voice and relatable persona, the anthem seeks to connect with women across age groups and encourage them to approach investing with confidence, awareness and informed decision-making.

While women’s participation in investing has grown steadily in recent years, there remains considerable scope to further strengthen engagement and participation. Awareness, confidence, product understanding and access to reliable information continue to play an important role in enabling informed participation in the securities market.

Speaking about the initiative, Shri Sudhish Pillai, Head, CDSL IPF Secretariat, said, “The ‘Bano Ms. Atmanirbhar Investor’ anthem is built around a simple but powerful message, that every meaningful journey begins with a first step. Through this initiative, we hope to encourage more women to take that first step towards investing, build confidence through knowledge and make informed financial decisions. As women increasingly take charge of their financial futures, they contribute not only to their own long-term financial security but also to a more inclusive and empowered investment ecosystem.”

CDSL IPF continues to promote financial literacy and investor awareness across diverse audiences. The ‘AtmanirbHER’ initiative seeks to encourage women from varied backgrounds to participate responsibly in the securities market and build long-term financial security.
