The spectacular ceremony will unfold in all its grandeur on Wednesday, 17th September 2025, at 5 PM at the prestigious The Lalit Ashok Hotel, Bengaluru.
This year’s Karnataka Idol Awards has been envisioned as a landmark initiative to acknowledge excellence across a wide spectrum of fields, including business, sports, healthcare, agriculture, cinema, arts, social service, and politics. By celebrating both stalwarts and contemporary achievers, Zee Kannada News aims to create a platform that inspires future generations and strengthens Karnataka’s legacy of progress, resilience, and cultural pride.
This year’s edition will pay a remarkable tribute to leaders and icons who have shaped the state’s identity. The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Hon’ble Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Former Chief Minister Sri D.V. Sadananda Gowda, and Kannada’s beloved ‘King of Romance’ Pranayaraja Dr.Srinath for their enduring contributions to governance, leadership, and cinema. In addition, stalwarts such as former Indian hockey team captain V.R. Raghunath and India’s first Paralympics silver medalist H.N. Girish will be honoured for their excellence and inspirational journeys.
The evening will also be blessed by the divine presence of Jagadguru Sri Vachanananda Mahaswamiji of Harihara’s Veerashaiva Lingayat Panchamasali Jagadguru Peetha, adding spiritual grace to the celebrations. The event will further be marked by the presence of some of Karnataka’s most respected dignitaries, including Hon’ble Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara, Transport &Muzrai Minister Sri Ramalinga Reddy, Agriculture Minister Sri Cheluvarayaswamy, and Women & Child Welfare Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar. Joining them will be former ministers, MLAs, Karnataka Government’s Special Representative in Delhi Sri T.B.
