Morristown, NJ – October 24, 2025: Lotus Petal Foundation hosted an unforgettable evening of celebration and philanthropy at the Hyatt Regency Morristown, bringing together the local Indian community for a night of high-energy Garba, Dandiya Raas, live music, and cultural performances all for a noble cause.
The GALA Dandiya Night 2025 was a spectacular showcase of Indian tradition and contemporary culture. Guests were treated to electrifying performances by Dance X Studio, along with soul-stirring music and dramatic performances from Rutgers Raag and Rutgers Tamasha. Attendees enjoyed authentic Indian cuisine, colorful traditional attire, and surprise giveaways, creating a lively, immersive experience.
The evening was further elevated by the presence of Chef Vikas Khanna, globally acclaimed Michelin-starred Chef, Author, and Humanitarian, who graced the gala as the Chief Guest. In his heartfelt address, Chef Khanna reflected on the responsibility of giving back:
“We carry some kind of guilt, but people like Kushal, when they run initiatives like this, I feel my own guilt is reduced. I owe it to the world, just as my mother taught me. Supporting these children is a debt I must honor. Education is a weapon it allows every child to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world. Being part of this gala, I feel proud to witness dreams being nurtured, to see artists, doctors, and young talents given their chance to shine. Kushal and his initiative are truly making a difference, and I am honored to support and be part of this evening.” he said.
Chef Khanna expressed his admiration for the Lotus Petal Foundation and its Founder & Managing Trustee- Mr Kushal Raj Chakravorty, emphasizing the importance of empowering underserved children and the transformative impact of initiatives like this on society.
All proceeds from the Gala will directly support the Lotus Petal Foundation’s mission to empower underprivileged children in India through quality education, nutrition, and life skills programs.
