CoverSure Enters India Book of Records for Largest Insurance Campaign Using Inland Letters

Mumbai, July 14, 2026: CoverSure, a consumer-first insurTech platform helping individuals and families manage, understand, and access their insurance information, has been officially recognised by the India Book of Records for the largest insurance campaign using inland letters, through its national public-awareness campaign #ChitthiAayiHai.

Most Indian families face what CoverSure calls Silent Purchase: insurance bought in good faith but never discussed, leaving the very people it’s meant to protect unaware it exists, until a crisis forces the question. #ChitthiAayiHai was built to close that gap. In association with India Post, the campaign dispatched over 10,000 barcode-enabled inland letters to CoverSure policyholders across 15 cities, each hand-delivered, prompting policyholders to document and share insurer details, policy numbers, nominee information, and TPA helpline numbers with their families.

The letters were designed in two variants. Parivar Ka Vir, for term insurance policyholders, prompted documentation of death benefit details, nominee information, and claim procedures. Suraksha Chakra, for health insurance policyholders, focused on medical access preparedness, insurer details, TPA helpline numbers, and the nearest cashless hospital networks.

India Book of Records recognised the campaign for promoting insurance awareness through more than 10,000 hand-delivered inland letters across 15 cities, encouraging policyholders to share vital insurance details with their families.

Speaking on the recognition, Saurabh Vijayvergia, Founder and CEO, CoverSure, said: “Chitthi Aayi Hai started as one uncomfortable truth: most Indian families don’t know what insurance they’re protected by until they need it. We call it Silent Purchase, and it’s the reason claims go unclaimed, and families are caught off guard at the worst possible moment. We set out to fix that with something as simple as a letter. The campaign’s structured, family-first approach to insurance awareness reflects a broader industry conversation around closing India’s insurance gap, one that extends beyond ownership numbers to whether the people insurance is meant to protect actually know it exists.
