What do life, love, loss, and pigeons have in common? Quite a lot, according to Toussaint Douglass. In his Indian debut, the British comedian brings his Edinburgh-celebrated, sold-out show to Mumbai — and fair warning: it is considerably more pigeon-heavy than you might expect.

Accessible Pigeon Material is an hour of stand-up that is hard to pin down and easy to love. Directed by Lee Griffiths, it wanders through the big, messy themes of being human, like belonging, heartbreak, and finding your footing.

Douglass arrives in Mumbai off the back of multiple sold-out runs at London’s Soho Theatre and a variety of accolades, including a Best Newcomer nomination at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2025 and the Besties Debut Award. He was also longlisted for the ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards and flagged as one of the Festival’s must-watches by the New York Times. Four-star reviews from the Guardian, Evening Standard, Times, and Telegraph round out a remarkable debut year.

This Mumbai visit is presented by Soho Theatre India, which has been championing South Asian comedy talent — both in the UK and on home turf — for over a decade. Join us for an evening of absurdity and amusement.
