March 31, 2023 – Duolingo (NASDAQ: DUOL), the world’s leading language learning platform, today announced a partnership with NBCUniversal’s streaming service, Peacock, to debut Love Language,” a new reality dating show just in time for April Fools’ Day.

From cities all over the world, ten confident and flirty singles will come together to share a house in paradise in hopes of finding true love. The catch? None of them speak the same language.

The dating competition will force bikini-clad contestants to learn a new tongue in more ways than one. If they fail to do their daily Duolingo language lessons or find a match by the end of anepisode, the singles will be eliminated by the show’s iconic host and merciless judge, Duo the Owl.

Francesca Farago – who is no stranger to the reality dating scene and best known for her leading roles in “Love Is Blind” (2020), “Too Hot to Handle” (2020) and “Perfect Match” (2023) – will be among the hopefuls looking to make lasting connections with the help of Duo the Owl.

But only one couple will win the grand prize and prove their relationship is the strongest by learning to successfully speak each other’s love language.

“At Duolingo, we make learning languages fun and entertaining. By partnering with Peacock, a leader in buzzworthy reality TV, we were able take this approach to a whole new level by bringing Duolingo’s unique, and unhinged, spin to the romantic reality series space, featuring none other than Duo the Owl,” said Manu Orssaud, Vice President of Global Marketing, Duolingo. “On “Love Language” fans will have a front row seat to the chaos Duo causes all in an effort to ensure learners keep their Duolingo streaks alive and find love through the power of language learning.”

The “Love Language” trailer premieres on Thursday, March 30 at 11 am ET, ahead of April Fools’ Day, and will be available on the Peacock and Duolingo apps. For even more fun, language lovers and reality show fans will receive one-month free access to Super Duolingo and 50% off three months of Peacock Premium (a one-time payment of $7.49) through April 19.

“Love Language” is the perfect addition to Peacock’s fan-centric, groundbreaking reality programming,” said Annie Luo, Executive Vice President, Global Partnerships, Peacock. “Peacock has had a powerful string of recent hits featuring some of the biggest stars on TV;

we’re honored that Duo the Owl joins this group and chose Peacock to call home. We are excited to pair up with Duolingo and can’t wait for audiences to see how the drama unfolds.”
