DWELL Design Show by Kritika Goswamy Malik, Founder of House of December: A Curated Platform Redefining Modern Living Through Thoughtful, Layered Design

A two-day design initiative in New Delhi that brought together homegrown brands to explore storytelling, materiality, and intentional living.

New Delhi, 27th April 2026: DWELL Design Show, a thoughtfully curated design platform conceptualised by Kritika Goswamy Malik, Founder of House of December, concluded successfully over two days on 24th–25th April 2026 at NSIC, Okhla, New Delhi. The platform brought together a refined selection of homegrown brands across lighting, textiles, art, objects, and furniture, offering a layered and immersive interpretation of contemporary Indian design.

DWELL Design Show was envisioned as a departure from conventional design exhibitions, positioning design not as isolated objects but as a connected and evolving narrative of modern living. The platform is rooted in the belief that design is not only visual, but deeply experiential—shaped by intention, craftsmanship, and emotional depth. Each space encouraged visitors to engage more consciously, moving beyond observation to understand the stories, processes, and philosophies behind each creation.

At its core, DWELL Design Show reflected a more mindful way of experiencing design—where homes are seen not just as aesthetic environments, but as emotional and lived spaces shaped by meaning, memory, and materiality. The platform also created a strong space for dialogue between creators and audiences, fostering a deeper appreciation for contemporary craft and design practices in India.

Speaking about the response, Kritika Goswamy Malik, Founder of House of December, said, “DWELL Design Show began with a simple belief that our homes deserve more than beautiful objects; they deserve intention, meaning, and a deeper connection to the way we live. The response has been truly overwhelming, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who came, experienced it, and made it what it became. For me, this was about slowing down how we engage with design and truly feeling it, not just seeing it.”

She further added, “Luxury, in its truest sense, is when design becomes effortless—when you don’t notice it, but you feel completely at ease within a space.”

DWELL Design Show is an initiative by House of December (HOD), a multidisciplinary design studio founded by Kritika Goswamy Malik. Known for its intuitive, layered, and context-driven approach to interiors and styling, HOD places strong emphasis on composition, craftsmanship, and detail. The studio creates spaces that are both intentional and emotionally resonant, blending aesthetics with lived experience. DWELL Design Show emerged as a natural extension of this philosophy, translating HOD’s design language into a collaborative platform that brings together designers, makers, and brands within a shared experiential framework.

Through this initiative, House of December extends its creative vision beyond interiors into a broader cultural and experiential landscape. DWELL Design Show became a space where design was explored through stories, materials, and human interaction, encouraging deeper engagement with contemporary design thinking and craft practices in India.

The event brought together a carefully curated selection of participating brands reflecting the depth and diversity of contemporary Indian design. These included Kasto Designs, Align by Mr Glass, Adore My Wall, Kesari Home, Illustrations by Rooh, Heritage & Now, Objects of Distinction (a signature section featuring established and emerging brands), Purplepirateco by Deepti, F Six Homes, Bahrisons Luxe, and Vakr. Alongside these, the event also highlighted “Stories of the Hand” artists, featuring A Clay Story, Bric A Brac, Clayzz, and Svitlana_kripak, each contributing distinct perspectives rooted in craft, materiality, and artistic expression.
