It was in 2012 when the company started with carbon auditing and verification and grew to what it is today, offering climate, decarbonization, and ESG services.
Founded on 14 September 2012 by its two founding partners; Dr Kaviraj Singh and Mr Ashok Kumar Gautam,Earthood initially focused on providing independent carbon auditing and verification services for projects developed according to leading international carbon standards and registries, including the UNFCCC, Verra, Gold Standard and Global Carbon Council (GCC), among others.
The company has been growing during the past 14 years and has expanded its scope of work according to the dynamic nature of the global sustainability market. The company has been providing GHG accounting and carbon market advisory services, climate change advisory services such as decarbonization, ESG reporting and assurance, and other sustainability-related services.
Starting from the first office in New Delhi, Earthood has been expanding internationally. Now the company operates in the United Kingdom, Brazil, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. Thus, Earthood has been able to work with clients in various countries to meet their climate and sustainability needs.
Mr. Avinash Kumar, President, Earthood Services Ltd, who started the ESG wing in Earthood, said,
