Mumbai, India | 30 September 2026: EDT, the new-age design and technology brand reimagining everyday appliances, has raised $2.4 million in an oversubscribed Pre-Series A round led by existing investor Sauce & existing angels who doubled down on the brand. New participants and investors include Alteria Capital, Raul Rai (Nicobar), Shibam Das and Arindam Paul (Atomberg), Ajith Pai (Delhivery) and Anushree Tainwala (Samsonite).
EDT will use the capital to build inventory ahead of the festive season across channels, to launch new products, and to strengthen its growth, supply chain, brand and product teams. The fundraise comes as EDT enters its next phase: building a broader consumer design and technology platform across home, kitchen and beauty-tech.
Seven months of momentum
Within seven months of launch, EDT has become one of India’s fastest-growing premium new-age device brands. LUMA, its 100% non-toxic PureGlass™ Air Fryer Oven, is the top-selling premium non-toxic air fryer in the market. FLOW has reimagined the everyday kettle as a precision device for hydration, wellness and beverages.
EDT’s products are available on Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Croma and FoodStories, as well as its own D2C platform. Amazon has become a key growth engine: the business there scaled nearly 7X between March and July 2026. EDT was also the first, and the youngest, brand in its category to be onboarded by Croma.
Intelligent Care: one philosophy, every category
At the heart of EDT’s platform is Intelligent Care: using technology, design, materials and engineering more thoughtfully to create products that care for the consumer and the way they live. For EDT, intelligence is not about adding more features to a device. It is about how design and technology are built to deliver outcomes through a lens of care.
LUMA’s materials and NutriRetain Tech are engineered to safely unlock more nutrition. FLOW’s Cl-arity Tech is engineered to make water purer and beverages more flavourful, to amplify hydration. These outcomes are achieved by a platform of proprietary programming that senses, adapts to the consumer and a choice of design & materials. This ensures that the philosophy is not defined by any one appliance.
With SUKI, Intelligent Care now extends from the kitchen to the body. In beauty, the philosophy takes shape as Intelligent Beauty. The learnings from the technology and design platform that EDT built for care through sensing & adapting, now extends to care for hair, starting with the everyday ritual of drying.
EDT builds for a new generation of discerning consumers. They are increasingly conscious of what they bring into their homes and put on their bodies, and they value thoughtful design, transparency, better materials and longevity over short-term fixes. Many of them co-create products with EDT’s design and engineering teams, and many have become advocates for the brand. This mix of product innovation, considered design, honest claims and an active community has given EDT a distinct position in the new-age consumer appliance market. It has also earned the brand industry awards for its design-led approach.
Speaking on the fundraise, Naiyya Saggi, Co-founder & CEO, EDT, said: “We started EDT with a simple conviction: everyday consumer appliances must be reimagined for the realities of a modern premium consumer. Our platform of Intelligent Care, uses intelligence thoughtfully, from the design, the technology and programming, to the materials chosen, to the way a product ultimately has proven outcomes of care for our consumer. The response to LUMA and FLOW has been extraordinary. This fundraise helps take that philosophy into new categories. SUKI is the first device in our next step to bringing Intelligent Care into beauty and build our Intelligent Beauty portfolio with our patent pending algorithms clinically tested to transform hair over time.”
Manu Chandra, Founder & Managing Partner, Sauce, said: “EDT has demonstrated one of the strongest new-age brand trajectories I have seen in recent times, with healthy business fundamentals, strong consumer traction and an exceptional level of customer trust and love. What particularly stood out to us was the community the brand has built around its products and its ability to turn product-led innovation into genuine consumer advocacy. We doubled down because we believe EDT has the opportunity to build far beyond individual appliance categories and create a broader consumer design & technology platform spanning the home, kitchen and personal care for the modern consumer.”
Expanding into Beauty-Tech: SUKI brings Intelligent Beauty to hair care
SUKI is EDT’s first device in beauty-tech, and the first in its Intelligent Beauty portfolio.
For years, hair dryers have been built around speed, power and styling. That has forced consumers to compromise on damage while drying . Meanwhile, premium hair-tech in India is still dominated by products developed for other markets and other hair types. As consumers increasingly approach beauty through health, prevention and longevity, EDT sees an opportunity: to reimagine drying around care, engineered for the hair realities of Indian consumers.
SUKI is the first-ever Care-Dryer™, built on the patent-pending CareDry™ Algorithm. The algorithm runs a proprietary Intelligent Care cycle that combines a patent-pending in-house precise heat and airflow cycle with plasma ions. It is clinically tested to amplify hair strength and integrity by 110% over multiple uses, with a significant reduction in static, breakage and frizz compared with a fixed-heat hair dryer. SUKI’s dual AirSense™ sensors read hair and airflow conditions 100 times a second. They automatically calibrate heat to keep the temperature within a hair-safe window at every setting while ensuring fast drying. The premise is simple: the daily ritual of drying hair should care for hair, not damage it. By solving the major pain point of uncalibrated heat damage, SUKI is clinically tested & proven to uniquely transform hair health over time.
SUKI comes with a magnetic concentrator nozzle, a magnetic diffuser, the first-of-its-kind GripSense™ feature, and a full LED display with the AirSense™ Living Colour Ring. It launches in the Space Neon colourway at a limited-time pre-order price of ₹8,499. SUKI will be available D2C first, followed by marketplace and retail distribution this winter.
What’s next
EDT has three more product launches in the pipeline across home, kitchen and beauty-tech. Its next phase of growth will focus on R&D and product expansion, strategic omnichannel distribution, community building and select team expansion.
