Tesla CEO Elon Musk voiced his desire for both performers to move on during the jury deliberations in the high-profile defamation lawsuit involving Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.

I wish them both the best of luck in their future endeavors. In response to a tweet from podcast presenter and MIT research scientist Lex Fridman, Musk remarked, “At their best, they’re all fantastic.”

Elon Musk’s name has also been used in relation to Depp and Heard’s shambolic trial. According to the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, Musk is suspected of having an affair with Heard throughout their marriage.

Depp, 58, has filed a $50 million lawsuit against ex-wife Heard, alleging that she defamed him in an opinion piece by referring to herself as “a public figure symbolizing domestic abuse.” Heard, 36, countersued for $100 million, alleging that Depp slandered her by dismissing her claims as a “hoax” by his lawyer.

Depp has denied ever hitting Heard or any other woman, alleging that it was she who made their relationship violent. Depp called Heard a “filthy whore” who he wished dead and said he “would rape her burning corpse.”

The legal dispute stems from Heard’s December 2018 opinion post in the Washington Post, in which she made the domestic abuse statement. Although Depp’s name was not included in the piece, his lawyer told jurors that Heard was definitely talking to him.

Heard’s lawyers argued that she expressed the truth and that her remarks were protected by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

Depp and Heard married in February 2015 after meeting on the set of “The Rum Diary” in 2011. Their divorce was finalised two years later.

Jurors heard recordings of the former couple’s fights and saw gruesome images of Depp’s wounded finger during the six-week trial. Depp alleged that Heard threw a vodka bottle at him in 2015, slicing the tip of his finger. Heard denied hurting Depp’s finger and said that the following night, Depp sexually assaulted her with a liquor bottle.

Heard’s charges, according to Depp, cost him “everything.” Depp was replaced in the “Fantastic Beasts” film franchise, a “Harry Potter” spinoff, after development on a new “Pirates” picture was suspended.

Depp lost a libel action against the Sun, a British tabloid, for calling him a “wife-beater” less than two years ago. Heard was frequently abused, according to a London High Court judge.
