Mumbai, 18th May 2026: The Fertiliser Association of India (FAI) will organise a four-day residential program on ICT for Smart Fertiliser Management from 19 to 22 May 2026 at Sterling Resort Kufri, Himachal Pradesh. The program has been designed to equip professionals from the fertiliser and agri-input sectors with practical knowledge on the application of digital technologies across the agricultural value chain, from production and supply chain management to precision farming and environmental monitoring.
Dr. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari, Director General, The Fertiliser Association of India, will inaugurate the training program and address the participants. His address will set the context for the program and offer participants a strategic perspective on why ICT adoption is no longer optional but essential for the fertiliser industry’s future.
As India advances towards a more transparent, efficient, and data-driven agricultural ecosystem, ICT has become central to improving fertiliser use efficiency, enabling real-time soil and crop monitoring, and reducing the sector’s environmental footprint. The program will draw on tools including machine learning, blockchain, IoT sensor networks, remote sensing, drones, satellite imagery, and AI-based advisory systems.

The program is designed for professionals across production planning, supply chain and logistics, sales and marketing, digital agriculture, finance, and agri-business operations. Faculty will include senior officials from the fertiliser industry, agricultural institutions, agri-tech startups, and consultancy organisations.
