Flipkart Appoints Akash Jain As Its New Director Of Marketing- Head Of Media

Flipkart, India’s premier e-commerce major, has appointed Akash Jain as its new Director of Marketing and Head of Media. The appointment is a reflection of Akash’s remarkable journey at Flipkart, where he has been instrumental in charting the company’s media and marketing strategy for nearly a decade.

In his new position, Akash will spearhead the efforts to streamline Flipkart’s media plans, not only for its flagship businesses but also for such thrilling new undertakings as Flipkart Minutes, its instant-commerce venture. He started off in 2017 as a Brand Marketing Manager and consistently climbed up the ranks, heading leadership positions like Head of Media – Associate Director. While he works in Flipkart, he advocated media plans for categories starting from mobiles and fashion to new areas like health and grocery.

Apart from Flipkart, Akash’s professional experience has been shaped by his entrepreneurial pursuits and knowledge of online marketing, including having started ContentKulture.in and working with Odigma (an Infusion Company).  With his imagination and aptitude for media development, he is ready to take the marketing level of Flipkart to new heights.
