New Delhi, 23nd December: Forbes India recently hosted the national finale of We Serve India – Season 2, presented by Lions Clubs International, at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar. This year, the campaign expanded its vision in alignment with the United Nations’ global themes for 2025.
The event brought together inspiring grassroots changemakers, policy influencers, CSR leaders, and UN representatives under one roof to celebrate impactful community-led work.
The campaign celebrated individuals and organisations driving measurable impact across Innovation in Education & Skill Development, Environmental Sustainability, Inclusive Healthcare & Accessibility, Tech-led Social Innovation, and Women-led Social Innovation.
At its core, the initiative champions meaningful and measurable change driven by compassion, innovation, and purpose-led leadership.
Building on the overwhelming success of its inaugural edition, Season 2 of this flagship initiative by Forbes India and Lions Clubs International adopted a sharper national and global lens. The first season uncovered over 150 changemakers and showcased their stories across digital and broadcast platforms.
The recently concluded finale honoured 5 National Winners and 5 Runners-up whose work demonstrated scalable, community-led transformation. The recognition followed months of nationwide nominations, rigorous evaluation by EY, and regional recognition across the North, East, South, and West zones.
The guest list included senior government dignitaries, leaders from the UN and development sector, CSR and ESG heads, philanthropists, academicians, and members of the Lions Clubs International community, making it one of the country’s largest convenings focused on social innovation.
The high-impact finale also featured a panel discussion on “Scaling Grassroots Innovation Across the Global South,” where experts explored pathways for replicable, sustainable, and community-rooted change.
Beyond recognising outstanding changemakers, the platform sparked meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and policy-aligned action to amplify impact across India and beyond.
