National, Drawing inspiration from some of the country’s most celebrated textile forms – Kanjeevaram, Bandhani, Banarasi Silk, Leheriya, Paithani, Ikat, Chanderi, Sozni embroidery and Phulkari – Forest Essentials’ new Tapestries of India festive collection reimagines the visual language of Indian textiles through intricate patterns, illustrations, textures and finishes. The rhythm of a weave, the precision of a motif, the movement of colour and the character of a handcrafted surface come together to shape a contemporary expression of festive gifting.
To bring Tapestries of India to life, Forest Essentials journeyed through some of India’s most celebrated craft regions, exploring the traditions, communities and cultural landscapes that inspired the collection. From the weaving clusters of Chanderi and Pranpur to the historic architecture of Orchha and the vibrant craft traditions of Jodhpur, the campaign celebrates the enduring relationship between craft, culture and place. The result is a visual narrative that extends beyond the gift box, honouring the living traditions that continue to shape India’s rich textile heritage. The story can be experienced and viewed here.
Drawing on over 6,000 years of Ayurvedic wisdom and Forest Essentials’ philosophy of the Panchamahabhutas – Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth, each ritual within the collection is crafted to nourish the senses as beautifully as the packaging celebrates the artisans and traditions that inspired it.
For instance Kalyani gift box inspired by Tamil Nadu’s Kanjeevaram brings together Body Care Essentials infused with the invigorating fusion of piquant Lime, spicy & warm Saffron and musky Oudh to revitalise the skin while leaving behind a lingering fragrance. Rajasthan’s colorful Leheriya is presented by the Kesariya gift box which contains hydrating face care essentials infused with steam-distilled water of five fresh flowers including Rose, Kewra, Crocus, Mogra and Marigold. Sozni, the fine needle embroidery of Kashmir is worked in silk thread upon soft pashmina in delicate paisleys and chinar leaves. So meticulous that a single shawl may occupy an artisan for many months. This is presented in the Noor gift box.
Hand-finished in Forest Essentials’ signature packaging, each of the 10 boxes as part of the Tapestries of India gifting collection is the perfect gift wrapped in the artistry of Indian craft.
