National, March 7, 2022: One of India’s fastest growing e-grocery platform, Fraazo is calling out to homemakers to apply for jobs at their organisation. The green grocer is reserving positions for women who are coming out of a career break, or are first-timers to encourage financial independence.

Fraazo has been taking conscious steps to enable a positive and growth-focussed environment for women who have long been immersed in donning the role of the lady of the house. In a world where securing a job after a break in one’s career is onerous, Fraazo is providing these women excellent opportunities. It includes a 45-day training and mentoring by experts to equip them with a healthy understanding and skill set to take on roles across various departments namely store operations, category management, product and technology, HR and finance.

According to World Bank estimates, the female labour force participation rate in India had fallen to 20.3% in 2019 from more than 26% in 2005. However, The All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2019-20 states that the Gross Enrolment Ratio of females has increased from 23.5% in 2015-16 to 27.3% in 2019-20. Consequently, this means that a lot of women are enrolling themselves in higher education institutes but do not seek employment immediately due to various reasons. Moreover, when they wish to begin their career after a considerable time gap, they find it relatively difficult to acquire entry level jobs. Fraazo believes that these candidates have tremendous potential and deserve a chance to showcase their capabilities. Therefore, they are encouraging women of all age groups with educational qualifications to send in their applications and embark on professional journeys.

Additionally, in order to ease them into their new roles, Fraazo has designed a flexible working plan along with a detailed 45-day onboarding and training programme for these applicants. During this period, the selected candidates will be provided with mentorship in their respective fields and will be given instructions on how to effectively carry out the tasks assigned to them. The training programme will not only aid them in successfully fulfilling their duties, but also help in polishing their skills or obtaining new ones.

Speaking about this wonderful hiring initiative, Atul Kumar -Co-founder and CEO of Fraazo said, “We at Fraazo believe that homemakers are equipped with a skillset that proves beneficial to multiple roles across departments.  Even though many women are compelled to take a break after completing their education due to personal reasons, we believe that it doesn’t scale down their talent and capabilities. Just like any other candidate, they too are worthy of an opportunity to step back into the world of employment to fulfil their aspirations. Our training programme has been specially customised to help these women seamlessly integrate into our organisation.”
