As the state eagerly anticipates the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections slated for May 13, 2024, Gemini Edibles and Fats India Ltd the makers of Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils, as a part of their community outreach program in collaboration with Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana, India has embarked on a mission to bolster voter participation and civic engagement across the urban areas of the state of Telangana.

A meticulously planned, innovative campaign of distribution of 20 lakh branded recycled paper bags with QR Codes to VHA App and Voters App across 700 modern retail outlets throughout the state, aims to directly reach out to the people urging them to Vote. The Bags have a QR Code to help Voters identify their name in the voter’s list and identify their booths to cast the vote. This unique initiative will help sensitize and directly reach the urban and semi-urban voters to come forward and cast their vote.

According to the Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana Shri Vikas Raj, a pilot project of direct voter outreach was done for the assembly elections late last year. Based on the feedback of the urban and semi-urban voters and expand the outreach the Electoral Office of the state had decided to print and distribute 20 Lakh branded bags at 700 modern retail outlets to remind people of their responsibility and facilitate them to scan QR Code and identify their name in the voters list and find their polling booths.

Mr P. Chandrasekhar Reddy, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Gemini Edibles and Fats India Limited, said, “I am overwhelmed by the decision of the Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana for extending this opportunity to Gemini Edibles and Fats India Limited to participate in the mission to sensitize eligible voters to cast their vote and be a part of the democratic process of the world’s largest democracy. Direct engagement with voters, facilitated through the distribution of branded recycled paper bags, should remind people of their responsibility to cast their vote.”
