They say motherhood changes everything — but they don’t really warn you about how it changes and humbles you.
After my daughter was born, I had a tough realization when I looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize the woman staring right back. I had created life, yet I concluded that I had forgotten how I had underappreciated it. I felt disconnected from myself, like I had just moved into another country and didn’t speak the local language. I went into “research mode,” surfing the internet for tips on how to “bounce back.” Looking at workouts, well-planned diets, daily affirmations, etc. But alas! Nothing worked because none of them were built around ‘real Indian moms’ with real challenges, routines, and little to no time for themselves.
And that’s when my passion for fitness merged with a deeper determination. I knew right then that I didn’t just want to get fit again. I wanted to understand, heal, and overcome. And when I couldn’t find fitness programs that resonated with my purpose, mentally, emotionally, as well as physically, I made up my mind to ‘create one.’ The seed was planted, and that’s how “FitMoms”, a wellness movement, grew from a personal journey into a shared mission. FitMoms, specially curated for mothers, by a mother.
Building a brand right from scratch meant saying goodbye to perfect filters and dedicating time to practical healing. No quick-fix diets. No “get your pre-baby body back in 21 days.” Instead, we spearheaded into achieving small, honest victories. A stronger core, a pain-free back, and gaining the confidence to dance again freely in the living room while your toddler laughs nearby.
At FitMoms, we curated fitness programs around what women truly needed: home-friendly, science-backed, and affordable. These programs seamlessly fit into their daily life instead of demanding that they rearrange them. By introducing structured modules on core recovery, strength, nutrition, and mental well-being, we sealed a deal with overall wellness that doesn’t stop at the waistline, but begins with the mind.
Today, over 12,000+ moms have joined our community, each one with humbling experiences but the same enthusiasm: to feel like themselves again. And that, to me, is far more fulfilling than chasing a size-zero body.
My biggest learning? Grand business plans aren’t built solely with having a ‘purpose’, they’re built in the quiet moments of relatability and empathy. It’s in the mom who says, “I can finally pick up my child without any back pain.” It’s in the mom who says, “I didn’t give up this time.” That’s when you learn: real impact isn’t viral, it’s personal.
The fitness spectrum often celebrates extremes, heavy lifting, a strict diet, zero-carb diet, and transformation videos of before-and-after. But when a brand focuses on consistency over perfection, caring over comparison, and progress over pressure, we learn to look at our fitness journeys with much kinder eyes.
Every breath, every squat, every movement counts. Because we are not just building bodies, we are rebuilding confidence, healing our inner child, and our self-belief altogether.
If passion gave birth to FitMoms, purpose keeps it alive. A purpose to make every mother feel strong in her body, gentle in her healing, and proud of her story.
Because when women rise in strength, families thrive. And when mothers heal, the world quietly heals with them, one core curl, one deep breath, one real story at a time.
