Jaipur, 24 June 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to building smarter and more sustainable cities, Genus Power Infrastructure, India’s leading end-to-end smart metering solutions provider, today associated with Jaipur Nagar Nigam (JNN) to launch Jaipur’s first mobile air purification vehicle. The initiative has been designed to help address the city’s growing heat challenges and air quality through an innovative, technology-driven solution.
The one-of-its-kind initiative was flagged off at Sanganer Stadium by Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, in the presence of Shri Om Prakash Kasera (I.A.S.), Commissioner, Municipal Corporation (Jaipur Nagar Nigam) and Shri N.L. Nama, Executive Director, Genus Power Infrastructure.
As Jaipur increasingly grapple with rising temperatures, road dust and vehicular emissions, the mobile air purification vehicle offers a targeted intervention for pollution hotspots. Equipped with a high-pressure misting system operating at over 1,000 PSI, the vehicle atomises water into ultra-fine droplets measuring just 10–20 microns. The mist effectively captures airborne particulate matter while simultaneously lowering ambient temperatures, recreating the natural cleansing effect of rainfall.
Developed using technology from IIT Kharagpur, the system has the potential to reduce localised particulate matter by up to 70% under suitable operating conditions, making it an effective tool for deployment across high-traffic corridors, marketplaces and densely populated urban areas.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Ishwar Chand Agarwal, Executive Chairman, Infrastructures Ltd. said: “Technology has the greatest impact when it addresses real-world challenges. This initiative reflects our commitment to deploying meaningful innovations for the communities we come from and operate in. Urban heat stress and air pollution demand practical, scalable interventions, and we are proud to associate with Jaipur Nagar Nigam to introduce a solution that has the potential to make a tangible difference to everyday life in Jaipur. We hope this initiative becomes a model for sustainable urban environmental management.”
The vehicle, launched initially as a pilot project to assess its real-time impact on localised air quality and heat mitigation, will enable authorities to evaluate its effectiveness across different parts of the city before considering broader deployment across Jaipur.
The initiative reflects Genus Power Infrastructure’s larger vision of supporting sustainable urban infrastructure and improving quality of life through innovative and environmentally responsible solutions.
