Globalart’s National Competition – Kolor Champ ’25, Chennai

Chennai, 13th October 2025: The Globalart National Competition – Kolor Champ ’25 in Chennai came alive with creativity as over 1200+ young artists from across the city showcased their boundless imagination and talent at RK Convention Centre, ECR. Children aged 5 to 15 years took on the exciting challenge of creating original artwork on a surprise topic revealed on the spot, transforming the arena into a celebration of talent, expression, and artistic brilliance. The event truly embodied Globalart’s mission — to nurture creativity and confidence through art.

The event was presided by the Chief Guests 

For the Inaugural Ceremony

  • Thota Tharani is a highly acclaimed Indian art director, production designer, and painter known for his work in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Bollywood films.
  • Dr. Saranya Jaikumar, one of the first doctorates Educational Psychologist, Consultant, Orator and President of Voxdemy | Former Member, TN State Child Rights Commission
  • Ms. Divine Rizia R.V., Assistant Professor – Department of Visual Communication Loyola College, Chennai.  Also, Freelance Artist, Photographer and Graphic Designer

For the Prize-distribution Ceremony

Ms. Janaki Sabesh, Actor in Tamil and Telugu movies, Model, India Media Professional, Author, Theatre and Voiceover artist

Speaking at the event, Dr. Saranya Jaikumar emphasized the importance of art in a child’s education, stating, “Art is essential for children. In a world driven by rapid technological change and artificial intelligence that often promotes uniform thinking, creativity has become the most vital skill a child can develop!”  Ms. Janaki Sabesh stated that “Through art, children learn to think originally, express freely, and imagine beyond boundaries — qualities that will define the innovators and leaders of tomorrow. Good to know Globalart is pioneering in this initiative.” Ms. Divine Rizia R.V. “So good to see Globalart is providing such a great platform for young children to develop their artistic skills. Am sure this will enable many of them to actively consider a career related to art and design in the future!”

Mr. Dinesh Victor, Managing Director of Globalart India, highlighted the growing participation each year, saying, “It gives us immense delight and a sense of fulfilment to see these young students enthusiastically and with complete dedication participating in this grand competition. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the parents, teachers and our franchisees who stood behind these young children encouraging them to take part in this remarkable celebration of creativity and colour. It’s no surprise that many of our former Globalart students, now successful in fields like architecture, interior design, fashion, and graphic design, trace their creative journey back to their Globalart days.”
