Godrej Enterprises Group Reaffirms Commitment to its core Purpose – Pioneer Progress for Generations – through New Media Initiatives

One year after unveiling its refreshed brand identity with a dynamic purple as lead colour symbolizing dynamism, modernity, confidence and aspiration  Godrej is channelling its core purpose across its operations, from engineering feats in nation-building to consumer-centric design. 

The launch of a compelling new film on the organisation’s purpose serves as a vivid expression of this ethos, inviting individuals and organizations alike to embrace curiosity as the spark for meaningful change.

With operations in over 60 countries, GEG’s core purpose manifests in tangible targets and actions. For instance, 50% of its revenue from sustainable products by 2032, green certifications for manufacturing units, and biodiversity conservation efforts that blend scientific research with community stewardship. GEG’s initiatives underscore a holistic approach where innovation fuels not just business growth, but also environmental stewardship and social equity, aligning with the Group’s values of customer centricity, entrepreneurship, integrity, and respect for the planet.

Nyrika Holkar, Executive Director of Godrej Enterprises Group and a fourth-generation steward of the family legacy, has played a pivotal role in this purpose-driven evolution, bridging the Group’s pioneering heritage with forward-thinking ambition, ensuring that purpose permeates every decision, from seamless consumer experiences to cutting-edge engineering that showcases India’s global prowess.

Created by Lowe Lintas, the new film centers on one provocative question: “Did I do something new today?” It challenges viewers to ignite curiosity and initiative, mirroring Godrej’s daily pursuit of innovation across sectors. Using examples from Godrej’s storied past infuses the narrative with authenticity to inspire future generations.

Commenting on the film, Nyrika said, “Progress always begins with a simple spark of curiosity.  We want to draw inspiration from our rich legacy and the visionary philosophy of my grandfather Naval Godrej, who believed that real progress begins only when we challenge ourselves to do something new every day. This new film is an invitation to pause, reflect, and ask ourselves whether we stretched our imagination today even in the smallest way. When we nurture this mindset collectively, innovation becomes natural, and purpose is lived every day.”

The film is one facet of Godrej’s broader purpose reaffirmation. Recent milestones include the refreshed identity for Godrej Enterprises Group, the new identity, retail format and omnichannel experience for Interio by Godrej, peer recognition for the Appliances business for excellence human and planet-centric designs. In aerospace today, Godrej contributes to India’s space missions; in energy, it advances clean solutions like zinc-based batteries; and in communities, it empowers youth through skill-based programs including green skills. These efforts honour the Group’s 128-year journey while signalling bold ambitions: doubling energy productivity and reducing carbon intensity by 60% by 2032, scaling biodiversity-led development, and redefining modern living with design-led, sustainable solutions.
