Sivaprasad Reddy, Chairman, CII Telangana, who highlighted Telangana’s emergence as a national leader in sustainability-focused industrial development. He emphasized the role of events like GreenCo Summit in fostering innovation and shared accountability.

By offering sector-specific benchmarks, technical guidance, and best practice sharing, the Council enables companies to embed environmental responsibility into their operations. Through initiatives like the GreenCo Summit and the CSO Alliance for Net Zero, it fosters collaboration, innovation, and leadership, helping businesses drive measurable impact while enhancing competitiveness and long-term resilience.

Notably, states like Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh lead the GreenCo movement, accounting for a majority of the 1000+ GreenCo-rated companies, highlighting strong regional commitment to green industrial growth and climate action.

The session also featured the launch of the Cleantech Innovation Programme, designed to support startups and enterprises pioneering sustainable technologies. Additionally, over 60 companies were recognized through the prestigious GreenCo Rating Platinum Awards for excellence in environmental performance, energy efficiency, and green manufacturing practices.

Over two days, the summit hosted high-impact technical sessions covering a broad spectrum of topics, including climate risk and resilience, renewable energy, product lifecycle strategies, green buildings, waste, and water management, and ESG disclosures.
