Mumbai, 4th July 2026: HCL Group, in partnership with the Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI), successfully concluded the HCL-SRFI PSA Challenger Tour Mumbai at Juhu Gymkhana Club. Held from 29 June to 3 July, the tournament brought together 48 professional squash players from 15 countries, reinforcing India’s position as a host of world-class squash events.
Over five days, players competed across the men’s and women’s PSA Challenger events, each carrying a prize purse of USD 15,000. The tournament witnessed high-quality competition throughout the week and provided Indian players with the chance to compete against experienced overseas professionals on home courts.
In the men’s final, Mohammad Syafiq Kamal from Malaysia defeated Yassin Shohdy from Egypt with a score of 6-11, 9-11, 11-8, 14-12, 11-8 to claim the title. In the women’s final, Tanvi Khanna from India defeated Farida Walid from Egypt with a score of 8-11, 2-11, 12-10, 11-9, 11-7 to lift the championship trophy. The winners were felicitated during the prize distribution ceremony held at Juhu Gymkhana Club.
The Mumbai leg forms part of the HCL Squash Tour, a multi-city PSA Challenger Tour certified by the Professional Squash Association (PSA). Through these tournaments, HCL and SRFI continue to strengthen India’s squash ecosystem by enabling emerging players to compete at the highest level on home soil, gain valuable professional experience, and progress on the international circuit.
